Collapsing EMF, courtesy of transformer, producing up to 2KV spikes.

Digital, why if I set timw speed more slowly it produced 100kV spikes? Collapse is time depending?

My answer was relative to his sim settings, however, time definitely affects spike voltage, play around with different sim speeds and time constants for varying spike voltages.

Thedhuff, remember this not in real.

A sim speed of 1 s/s is a close approximation of reality.

There are real and unreal aspects involved here ... Firstly, the mathematics of extremely high voltage is very real in this situation. The actual happening due to that reality is that a spark is produced which is not seen in the mathematics or in the EC simulation. There is also a restriction of current in a real inductor wire. Both aspects are correct and need to be appreciated in their relevance. (as a side issue ... The volt meter here is a pointless unused addition).
