Ground at - put + on top secondary coil, then connect bottom of second coil to bottom of first coil change primary winding to 2, change resistors to 10k and you have a joule theif almost hits 30v

Hi, What are you trying to build? If this was areal circuit and you just connected a ground like people are saying, it would totally be a death tap. I might be ambled to help you fix it if you can explain what your goal is. There's not one missing part... it's just not a valid circuit as it is right now.
