Why the current flow through the resistor is not 1A?

FETs don’t actually behave like ideal switches when using them to connect nodes in a circuit. All transistors will have a resistance between their drain & source when switched on called Rds(on). This resistance is usually in the range of a few mΩ to several Ωs and depends on many factors: drive voltage (higher Vgs=lower Rds(on)), temperature (higher Tj=higher Rds(on)), channel width (wider ch=lower Rds(on)), & more. Try changing the drive voltage to 10V & the width to 100µm: this brings the Rds(on) way down and brings the current up much closer to the ideal 1A
