In this situation, I would rather have a larger resistance in my RC network than a larger capacitance. I tried it out on this circuit and I think it works pretty well with the potentiometer and the R set to 100K- I brought C down to 100uF, and also lowered the LEDs series resistor to 330R to get it nice and bright. All that might just be personal preference but try it out to see if you like it too. Then just experiment with different values if you don't!.. =^)

Correction, sorry- I meant to say 10uF for your RC cap..

You need a 1 hf capacitor instead of this other one
