When we given 5 V Dc In led with 150 ohm Rp resistor then you getting standard Led intensity 20 mA When we set 70 ohm Rp resistor then LED can damage When we set 80 ohm Rp resistor then LED given 40 mA current Because LED maximum current pass 40 mA current When we set 1 kohm that time LED given 3.19 mA current

Best to stay at 20 mA or less. Leds have a negative temperature coefficient that rises nearly exponentially. The resistor provides a positive temperature coefficient at a linear rate. When they get hot the led will have decreased its resistance significantly, while the resistor will have increased its resistance slightly. Then current increases, which in turn increases heat, which in turn increases current, which in turn increases heat.
