Would this work as dual power supply from single DC source

Would this work in real life? The values of caps and inductor may be different in reality!!! The power and voltage may be very different in real life depending of load. Im interested in dual power supply for powering low power opamp. Please help.

I'll be honest with you, this is certainly very wierd. It's not you're traditional switching voltage inverter, but the idea is nice none the less. Will it work in the real world, I'm not really sure, but I really like the concept of using LC oscillations to create a +/- voltage supply! Even if this does work, see the tank Oscillation current, it's very high. That itself would discourage me from using such a topology.

Do you mind the inductor current or the battery current? The efficiency is indeed very poor but i don't have problem whit that if gonna work.

Yes, the battery current/ component current matters so much, you can't just say that it doesn't matter and ignore them!

Some things work, but at the price of poor efficiency. Say you want +/-5V 10mA supply, but your input is 5V 3A or something and you have many amps of oscillatory current! That's bad.

🤔 i think to test it anyway and try differend values and maybe much lower frequency.
