Automatic Convertible Top Closer

The rain detector switch(the left most vertical SPST switch in simulator) is homemade from two pieces of fine mesh copper screening about four inches square with blotting paper( the kind that blotts from both sides).  Soak blotting paper is salt water and let dry completely.  The blotting paper should be 1/4 inch larger than the copper screens on every side. This copper screen + blotting paper + copper screen "sandwich" is held together with cloth tape on the sides and fits to contour of top of car front seat.  The two wires attached to each screen come out of slit in cloth tape. The first horizontal SPST switch is the disabling switch ON/OFF for automatic top closer. The top SPST is a normally closed limit switch connected to convertalbe top that opens automotive relay circuit when closing top reaches windshield mounts. Operation when Auto Top Closer is ON.  Rain drops close the circuit through rain detector switch and automotive relay closes to send battery power to motor to raise the top until the mounted limit switch on the convertable top opens the relay circuit stopping  the top closing motor. The "top" switch on the car dash may be good connection point to connect battery powered auto top closer.
