Treble Bleed Guitar Volume Mod

Installing a small value capacitor across the volume potentiometer will let some treble bleed through when dialing the volume down, effectively creating a shelving filter, called a Treble Bleed Network. Note how the potentiometer value has a great impact on the frequency response. There are three well-known variations: - Single capacitor, that lets the bass at the same volume than without the mod, but let some highs through. - Cap + Resistor in series (Kinman): keeps the bass intact, also lets some highs through but flattens the high end a bit more. - Cap + Resistor in parallel (Seymour Duncan): does not cut the bass as much, changes the taper of the pot (can't say if it's for the best as it's hard to see the progression on EC).
