Help to fully erase all computer codes and not just a few the OBD2 detects by using a 10 watt 1 ohm resistor between the battery connection terminals.
In simulation, flip both SPDT switches up to bypass battery through 1 ohm resistor and wait 10 or 15 minutes to drain built up voltage charges in electronics systems.
Rather than short terminals on modern cars causing voltage spike at sudden discharge and perhaps expensive hidden damage - this can do the job.
