I do recommend you to recheck the operating point of the MOSFET with the valid input range on it's V_ds by I_ds graph.

Yeah, I've noticed that the output is capped because of the input, but this was only a vague attempt at MOSFET amplification in general. I'm actually currently studying MOSFET's so I just wanted to see what kind of things this baby can do.
