This circuit is to observe the discharge of capasitor. The capasitor is charged up, when you close the switch. The loaded voltage of the capasitor decrease follow the exponential function, if you open the switch after the charge up. The voltage decreasing speed (slope of the exponential function) is depend on the condenser capasity & resistance value.
