A circuit that uses the 555 timer to produce a pulse on based on the value of the resistor that goes from pin 4 & 8 to 7 & 6 as well as the capacitor from pin 6 to ground according to the following formula: [ T = 1.1 *( R * C) ]. The units for this equation are kΩ and µF. 

Example: 
 (2200 milliseconds = 1.1 * 100kΩ * 20µF)
