Hi power LED flashlight blueprint

HELP PLS READ. New to here. Somewhat new to electronics. I'll be modding a flashlight using a hi power LED (CREE XP-G2) and a 1 ohm 5 watt resistor. 18650 will be the power supply. I figured I'd share it on here. **Anyone here know of an I.C. that can run off an 18650, power an led at an amp and has a Low Drop Out (3v would be perfect since an 18650 shouldnt be run under 3v)**

Not sure what you're after. Per their datasheet an XP-G2 drops 3 V at 1 A. In what sense is this IC going to "run off" an 18650 and "power" the LED? Presumably this isn't just a naked 18650 without something like an R5458?

You can buy 18650 to led power modules, I'd first try Ebay, or even just Google it.

@tonyinselby it is an unprotected 18650. As you can tell I don't know much about I.C.'s. In essence I want to limit current with something other than a resistor....preferably constant current.
