4.3 and 11k resistors are closer to 50

555 can't do a perfect 50% duty cycle, cuz the cap is charged via 1k+10k=11k and discharged via 10k only. The duty cycle is more 11:10! You can come close to 50% by e.g. decrease the cap and increase the 10k to e.g. 100k then the duty cycle is 101:100 which is very close to 50%
