As the title say this is a simple rectifier AC/DC from mains voltage to 25V dc.
The zener it's to regulate the output voltage

The zener doesn't "improve rectification". It regulates the output voltage. It's a SHUNT voltage regulator.

the mains peak voltage you set is for 230VAC remember Vrms x 1.414 = Vpeak

exactly for that reason Vpeak = 325V

your headline said 220V and you haven't set the peak voltage to 311V funny bobo. I commented 5 hr ago and exactly 5+ hours you change this healine the last time. Now its correct.
