Also get into the habit of protecting relay drive transistors from back emf or the transistor is likely to have a short life than the relay.

try 555 timer or opamp or astable multivibrator and use an led not a lamp

the led won't lit.. I'm testing this in real time and use a 3 volt led from led strip.. .
