It definitely is a 555 circuit. It seems to flash an LED.

However, it's flashing at over 1khz. This is too fast for the eye to see. Try lowering the frequency

Nice straightforward circuit which flashes at approx 1 flash per sec (1Hz even with the timescale changed to 1s). ....don't know where zorgrian gets his 1kHz idea from.

OK my bad, I seem to have altered the capacitor value or maybe my 4 and a half year old son did this for me. Anyway apologies for the 1khz false observation
