4. Class A amplifier conduct over 100% of the input cycle. Class B amplifiers actively conduct only 1/2 of the input cycle (180 degrees) ... 2 devices are usually combined so that the load current is continuous. Class AB amplifiers are similar to class B amplifiers but use a quiescent current to reduce or eliminate any crossover distortion.
