For some reason the circuit won't open on my phone but here are some other 555 timers and flashers _ _ http://everycircuit.com/circuit/6694439557529600 and http://everycircuit.com/circuit/6001181523705856 and the flasher http://everycircuit.com/circuit/5359693722288128 . Please comment if you are looking for something different.

@wyoelk, I’m getting that with a few circuits lately, most are ok though. I’m assuming it’s the latest Apple update which does have some bugs. Don’t know if you’re Apple or Android?

Haven’t yet tried opening on a PC which would confirm or disprove.

I'm also getting this on a late model Samsung Android. I have seen something like this happen before when a circuit is originally saved as a public circuit and then later resaved as a private circuit.

To be realistic I would change to 6v supply. 220R for red led and 150R for output led. I’ve built many times on breadboard The 555 works better at greater than 5v. The current through the two leds are very different, the red one might blowout.

The 555 operates happily down to 4.5V so this is fine. We didn’t comment on circuit as until a few days ago it would not open in the simulator. I agree the upper LED current is too high, the EC default being 20mA.
