YT Latching 555 Switch

Disclaimer: I am not the YT uploader. I am simply playing with stuff because it's better than watching a loading screen for 80% of my already scarce spare time. I added the Power Switch off the 9V Battery in this app to replicate practical application. So... can anyone explain why this doesn't latch and unlatch (aka turn the LED on and off when the SPDT is toggled) as it should? I don't know. Edit: Thanks to another EC user's advice to change the 100k resistor to 20k and the 1uF capacitor to 10uF, this switch functions. And now I have an idea for it... 3switches, 1light. Coming soon to my Workspaces list.

Fantastic. Those tweaks actually makes it more reliable here now than the TinkerCAD simulation in the video. Thank you.

the way this works; when you push the button, the voltage on the Trigger goes below 1/3rd of the supply, so the output goes high. the output sends current to the capacitor, charging it up, but not enough to reach the Threshold voltage of 2/3rds of the supply. when you push the button again, it now spikes the voltage on the Threshold above 2/3rd of the supply, causing the output to go low.

the reason it doesn't work in simulation is simply timescale calculations; the pulse is too short for the simulator to recognise it.
