multivibrador astável se caracteriza por não ter dois, nem um estado estável. Este circuito muda constantemente de estado, numa velocidade que depende dos valores dos componentes usados e que, portanto gera um sinal retangular.

Replace one LED on each side with a 100ohm resistor if you want them to light up brighter. If you want two LEDs on each side, than replace the 4V power supply with a 6V one, and add a 100ohm resistor in series with each set of two LEDs.
