Very popular simple bidirectional logic level shifter between two logic levels with different high logic level voltage. Like between 3.3V and 5V, 1.8V and 3.3V etc. See:

In real life application use N-channel signal MOSFET like BSS138 or BSS170. For use in transmission lines add TVS diode to GND to outgoing output for ESD protection. To save space in PCB, use TXB0101 IC instead.
