Voltage reference: 1.024V, 2.048 or 4.098.
Use a ref diode and a current source for a stable 2.5V reference, eg with a TL431 and a JFET. Then trim it down to 1.024 using your most accurate DMM. Set the gain of the op-amp to x1, x2 or x4 with the switches.
