A simple 12v dc Led aray in series using different sized resisters to keep the volage at 2v for all Leds, and a capacitor in circuit to fade the Leds when switched off notice the middle row fade first then moves out to the edges.

As you say there is difference in time for the leds to fade, but If you take the time base out to 1 second (This is real time in the simulation) then the difference in fade time is not really noticeable.

Increase sim speed to 1 s/s and increase your capacitor from 30uf to 25mF to maintain the same fade effect.

Do not use high capacitor value like 25mF due high current flowing in it or the impossibility of real generator due its internal resistance.

My comment relates to a simulator environment and not reality but in a real application, your comment would be valid.

Thank you everyone for the comments and advice, it my first circuit I.m very confident with electrical installs but not electronics, some of the circuits on here are just mind blowing
