The 1k resistor is the imaginary 120v motor.

Is it really driven by an ac source

Yes the whole unit is supplied by mains 120v ac and is only rectified for the agitator.

Mmmm. It's just that something must be wrong as it pulls 9000 amps from the power supply through that cap. So if you have got the copying down right then it makes me think it's should be a dc supply before the brush bar. What do you think ?

A clue maybe in the voltage rating of that cap. Is it 250v at 220 uf or 22 nf or 25v at 220 uf and is it in the right place ?.

It is a 250v 150 microfarad cap
