* Flip switch to start * This circuit is an attempt to make a high-speed discrete non-LC tank VCO in the range of ~14 MHz so that it can work within the 20 meter HAM radio band. I am hoping this design transfers well to SPICE and then reality. Making a VCO like this with ICs seemed like it was going to cost a bit much, since the opamps that operate at the required bandwidth and slew rate seem to be a bit pricey. With this discrete design, I can make the sacrifice of using more power by making my resistors very small in exchange for higher switching speeds and bandwidths. This is part of an experiment of mine to make a 20 meter ham transceiver. If this works IRL, I will filter the triangle output heavily to approximate a sine wave and apply amplitude modulation to it.

you do know you just need a adjustable coil and adjustable capacitor at the same values in series and pules it with a PWM at is resonant frequency witch depends on the values 1mH and 1mF = 6.3mS and you can get 40v and 40 amps if you are pulsing in with 9Vs. but you know that already right?
