The circuit works in simulation, but it would have problems in the real world.

If you wanted to power the leds, its working. In real life, you would need a big fat resistor to soak up unused power and high voltage diodes for retification.

Practically impossible but we can make it glow with small changes in the circuit for 240VAC.
