This Circuit is active after releasing the push button; it can be used as a trigger that is only active for a small period of time, when it senses you've released the push button. I find this circuit very useful when designing other circuits that require a specific response like this. You can fine-tune the "time out" of the response simply by adjusting the size of the capacitor, or the resistor directly in parallel with it.
