I've seen it often enough with logic gates, I thought I'd try it with BJTs.

If you remove the capacitors and increase the voltage a bit it goes into the FM range. It also works as an amazing FM transmitter. The voltage seems to correspond directly to frequency such that f=Vn where f is frequency, V is voltage, and n is some constant defined by the exact parameters of the components.

@jason9: I noticed the frequency depends on the voltage. It's good to hear it's linear. :) In fact, the frequency depends on the R-C time constant and the transistors' switch-on threshold, so perhaps linearity should have been expected. I suppose the Early effect might modify it a bit. In the absence of capacitors it will use the transistors' internal capacitance, 5pF.
