Why the extra resistors? You could have done a simple voltage divider with just two resistors. Your 100 and 56 ohms in parallel are equal to 36 ohms, your 100 and 82 ohms in parallel are equal to 45 ohms. Then you measure the voltage on the 45 ohm resistor: 45/(36+45)*9=5V

I designed this based on commercial values I owned to be able to check some logic circuits with a 9 V battery. The disadvantage is that voltage drops with load.
