Well, you could always do this: http://everycircuit.com/circuit/5436548134993920. In general, having those resistors in there would be a huge waste of power. A circuit like yours could work okay if you used a bipolar supply to start with. Using a resistive voltage divider in this fashion is just a non-starter. It would consume more power than the motor.

The solution to switch polarity for high current devices is commmonly known as "H Bridge".
