The speed settings in EC does get a little messy and one can say even buggy. It seems to be a problem how you start/order/place and configure all components which impacts the hard timing. Digital source, ac source, main clock setting and propagation delay. They are all linked together. By default components start with 1ms timing. Play a little with a fresh worksheet and you can make your sequencer for the column much faster. And refresh the worksheet by discard and new it. There seems to be no way back if you choose the wrong order in configuration of settings AND components. Or build a simple 555 driven sequencer plus shift register or statemachine which generates three signals from left to right 01000 and 00110 and 00001. This is how i understand this nice circuit, without following any wires ;-)

Very nicely done. You could try replacing the standard gates with TTL logic providing you can find the space.

Maxmax yeh it is the gates slowing down the show with their integrated RC. Will check if transistors are faster...

Yup hurz that is whats it's doing . The top 3 clocks are sequencing the columns 1 2 1 0 , clock 4 is the CLOCK for shifting. Gonna try some suggestions, I'll post new if I get improvements :)

Soz hurz maybe the sequence I described didn't make sense, the columns beings displayed are in this order 1 2 2 3 nul, you figured that already
