Battery powered welder - self isolated

Just playing with the idea of a self charging battery powered welder. Basically it would use AC to charge a set of lead acid batteries and use the dc from the batteries to weld. It could probably work without this circuit but I'd like it to recharge the batteries in between welds. Further if like it to isolate the charger from the battery so the welding doesn't overheat the charger.
