8 Conductor Cable Tester

Just needed a practical application to view "Current Limiting Resistors" in action. SPST switches before and after LEDs are to simulate a break in either end of the cable. Originally I had planned to allow for multiple voltages, and used a different value resistor in line with each of the source voltage... but I learned quickly that wouldn't work since the current to the LEDs would change based on how many were on. More than likely, the actual project will be run at 5V via USB, so I left that as the active source. Now that I think about it, I should probably put diodes somewhere. The way I am testing is only really testing continuity. In the event that there is a short in the cable, I'm not entirely certain that the LEDs would be entirely unharmed. I still have lots to learn...
