If I put a load on the output the signal is non-existent even when i shake it. Am i doing something wrong?

Now there is a load that works. Maybe your load was to much for the circuit.

I have put in a 1k load and shaken. I doesn't work?

This circuit is not able to muster the 4A at 4kV that a 1k load implies. It's not a power inverter try bigger values for the load.
