Is this your question? A windowless room contains three identical light fixtures, each containing an identical light bulb or light globe. Each light is connected to one of three switches outside of the room. Each bulb is switched off at present. You are outside the room, and the door is closed. You have one , and only one, opportunity to flip any of the external switches. After this, you can go into the room and look at the lights, but you may not touch the switches again. How can you tell which switch goes to which light?

Easy turn 1 on so it warns up. Turn it off. Then turn on another switch. When you go in the room. One lot is on, one is warm, and one is off. This one was easy. The third one is shorted and burned the house down. Lol

Just switch on the 1st switch for ten or five mins then switch it off ... On the second switch let it on and for the last switch let it off before you check the room .... if the light is on that is for no. 2 switch . for the no. 1 switch just hold the bulb that is warm then the last room is for switch no. 3
