This is now a “rough” copy of 2ctiby’s explanation to my question; 
Can anyone explain the settings available on an EC MOSFET?
I cannot find anything like them on a data sheet
Please be aware I am just a curious beginner!!!

It would possibly be best to concentrate entirely on the N-Mosfet rather than its usage with more complex op-amp components etc. Here is some detail.....you can skip down to the bottom Summary if you just want the settings without the detail http://everycircuit.com/circuit/6272290221457408

Many thanks for the info! Most interesting! Although I’m going to need to read it several times to understand fully !! !I shall continue to play! Again, many thanks. Ian I’m using an iPhone to work this and the keyboard hides what I’m typing! A little bug for the devs to fix 😉

Hi! The iPhone effect can be overcome by turning your iPhone into landscape mode. This problem didn’t exist until the latest Apple updates.

@ishepheard64 .... Perhaps some others may read it and find it useful. It would probably be better to increase your Vgs of 3.01v up to 4v or more to allow the Transconduction action to complete more fully, especially where full ds amps are involved.
