I made a working circuit almost two weeks ago and it works just fine

Remove the cap, make the mos stronger (e.g. 500um in width), and lower the 10ohm resistor, because 1V pulse at 1ohm is 1A. 10V minus 1V is 9V and 9V at 10ohm cant be 1A!!!! So lower it or even remove it!

The cap is necessary for the real world. Thanks for the tip with the transistor size. The 10 Ohm are more or less what I expect from the target.
