I have a problem with this circuit. LEDs must blink with a frequency 2Hz, but it doesn't work. Please help.

You could start by adding a voltage source, to power the circuit. The simulator is pretty thorough. After that, it's just tuning your r/c timing...

Also, at second look, wouldn't the r/c side of that circuit better serve your needs if it were charging/releasing on the input side of your NAND gate? Over where you've got it, it has no appreciable effect on the input/flashing side of the circuit. *Just an observation, not criticism. I'm just worried that if I made this circuit work, I might just be doing somebody else's homework assignment...

Don't worry ), it's not my homework its just a little hobby. I have a bought an elektronik training kit for beginner in digital elektronik. This circuit works in a praxis, but i don't really know what have I done wrong in this scheme. You can take a look, if you want, www.elektronik-labor.de/Lernpakete/LPdigital.html circuit number 9.

I'm not sure EveryCircuit really *knows* IC circuits. I just released a NAND LED Flasher Circuit, a real, live, functioning circuit from my workbench, and yet EveryCircuit responds with 'cannot find solution'. Not sure what to make of that. So go find that circuit, and build on it, and you'll be fine. Again, it works in real life, just not in EveryCircuit, the simulator.

The one with single gate is working in real? You are lucky

Apparently I am lucky. Other students in class were having troubles with it. Now I wonder if I wasn't "benefitting" from some nearby interference, or if there was a flaw in the project board that enabled this behavior...

Thank you all for the answers. Hurz, you mean it's difficult for this program to solve analog and digital problem at once. Its really not easy to solve beginning-problem in this circuit. What do you mean I can do better, to make this problem digital? LongFirst, I try to put together your circuit its pretty nice).

Ich sagte nur, dass der Simulator sehr schnell überfordert ist und leider eben auch mit so scheinbar einfachen Anfängerschaltungen. Eine einfache Lösung ist nachbauen. Macht auch mehr Spass!
