It is possible create a 1:4 demultiplexer using three 1:2 demultiplexers. Please note that the logic design of the original 1:4 DEMUX is faster and cheaper than this version.
It is possible to create any size multiplexer or demultiplexer with lower-level multiplexers or demultiplexers respectively.
