The first thing to show to a kid. Needs shaking (not in real world :)

But why does it do that?

Because EC simulates noise signal when shaking smartphone.

In an ideal system, every component would be the exact value specified. Since the circuit is symmetric, it will stay in perfect balance forever and you would not see any oscillation. EveryCircuit simulates noise when you shake you device and the circuit goes out of the perfect balance.

Thanks gpencheff. But what is the noise affecting? I'm guessing the capacitors yes?

No it gives the circuit a small amount of voltage to not have a perfect balance and so it starts oscillating

I haven't read the EC manual and have no idea how exatly it does that. Btw, I now see what I did there with the name and the description...as a kid I remember everyone laughed when I mentioned the name of the circuit :)
