Ligar LED na rede elétrica

Circuito para ligar um LED na rede. O resistor (deve ser de 3W ou 4W) é para limitar a corrente e a tensão sobre o LED e o diodo é para não polarizar o LED inversamente,  pois isso o queimaria. Com isso o LED ficaria piscando, mas ele faz isso 60 vezes por segundo (60Hz, frequência da rede elétrica) e quase não é perceptível.
