SCR Phase controlled circuit

SCR Silicon controlled rectifier This device can be use to block current in forward biased state also. It has 3 stages 1)Reverse blocking stage 2)Forward blocking stage 3)Forward conducting stage SCR can be formed by 2 transistor 1)pnp transistor 2)npn transistor Base of each transistor is connected to others collector. Emitter of pnp is used to take output and Emitter of npn for input . Nd vice versa acc to need. SCR can only be used in forward biasing state. Triangular input is used for triggering SCR from forward biasing blocking to conducting state. Whem triagular input reaches maximum value it starts conducting nd when it reaches minimum value it starts blocking. Do conduting or blocking cycle value can be changed by changing the amplitute of triagular input or time period of triagular input.
