This LED/Diode voltage divider is an alternative to a resistor based Voltage divider. With the forward voltage of the 3 white L.ED's of 3 Volts and the forward voltage of the diodes at about .67 or .7 volts, The voltage drops offer multiple different voltage points. The excess voltage is accounted for with the 30 ohm resistor. Just under 20 milliamps is what you would expect using LED's in the circuit.
