Hi, that is an operational amplifier, not a transistor! Moreover, instead of a detector diode you used a zenner diode. There are also other mistakes in this circuit, too many actually... Do you want to correct it?

This radio is on my desk working right now. Used a zener for the crystal and am getting +/-200mv from the antennae. Picking up 3 stations very well &without batteries. Thanks
