Very simple logic gates using discrete components, I like using this solution in projects in place of adding logic gate ICs. Makes my tummy feel fuzzy briefly so I forget the pain. NAND and NOR gates are typically simpler to make than AND and OR but can also be done with transistors and diodes to operate with logic level devices.
