Takes sine waves, turns them into square waves. Accidently made this when trying to make a simple amplifier

This is happening due to the fact that your input sine wave is saturating the BJT. View the output at the collector of the transistor and not at the battery. And when you are making a BJT amplifier, make sure your input voltage is something like 10mVpp or 100mVpp and not as high as you have set it, or else your transistor's saturation is guaranteed.
