This circuit is basic form of cross coupled dc-dc boost converter. It is improved version of Dickson Charge Pump topology. Basic principle is pumping overcharge in the internal capacitors to the load capacitor. Enjoy!

For detailed analysis of the circuit, check "Improved Dual Phase Cross-Coupled Charge Pump Techniques for Selectable Multi-Output DC-DC Converters; Li-Jia Lin, Ke-Horng Chen"

But here is something wrong. The voltage at out suppose to be around 3x3.3V maybe 9V at least.

This topology produces 2*Vdd. Right up mosfet was wrong. It is Nmos. I have revised the circuit. Thanks!

I like the diode version more http://everycircuit.com/circuit/5075360591118336

Diode version has high power consumption. In addition, diodes have voltage drop. Cross-coupled is faster and effective. Check "Favrat Charge Pump", puplished in 1998.

Based on my experience, diode version has efficiency about 20%. But we designed and produced cross-coupled charge pump circuit with 80% efficiency.

You checked the diode circuit? 3 shottky diodes gives you 9V while your 4mosfet version just makes 6.5V ....

BTW, both pmos are wrong mounted. Swap source and drain. http://everycircuit.com/circuit/6392334684258304

Number of mosfets is not related with power. Realize both of circuits and calculate power efficiency. You will see

They are symmetrical. Drain and source locations do not make any sense unless you make the bulk connection at the source.

It seems that you are not familiar with IC Design. I advise you to read "Design of Analog CMOS Integrated Circuits, Behzad RAZAVİ". Nobody can teach you by writing comments.

You ignore any comments. And were do you get this 20% efficency from, is this wishful thinking? Have you ever heard about simplicity beats complexity. Especielly if you do not understand what your are doing pipo.

do I ignore any comments? I have answered all of them. When you are defeated in the debate and things you do not know are revealed, you start to lose the level of speech. Keep away from my area. I won't answer your comments anymore.

Again, you do not answers a simple questions.

Here is your statement "Based on my experience, diode version has efficiency about 20%." Can you construct a common example were we all see only 20% efficency? I just scratching at the surface of your Statements.
