I need a hint. Like, what places the 3V source connects and what places the lamp connects.

3v source connects to anywhere and the lamp connects to anywhere, so long as the light is on when the switches are all up and all down, and the lamp is off in any other state

I think I got it!!! But I had to use a resistor so the simulation wouldn't crash. However, in real life a resistor would not be needed. Does that count? http://everycircuit.com/circuit/6015134588993536

Here's a solution using 6 switches (not 5) but no resistor. http://everycircuit.com/circuit/5618019966648320. I haven't tested it very thoroughly.

592azy2circuitdude, I tested your circuit and it works flawlessly except for the need for one more resistor connected in series with the bottom terminal of the switch that’s second from the left. I tested every possible combination by counting through the switches in base 2 and the only combinations that light up the LED are all low and all high, and there is only one state that requires an additional resistor.

But Mrsnowy, haven't i asked you if you tested the solution within everycircuit, cuz i was expecting the need.of resistors! Next time you should test it first before just publishing. Holy sh..

That is really poor. If you reduce me on my age, you may not forget that I am going to university this fall, one month after my 18th birthday. That I finished school so early should be enough evidence for my competence. Also, even with my small age I defeat you in discussions. @hurz, like I said earlier in another circuit about some people being so stubborn that they’re not worth being helped because they won’t accept that help, and that @fancycontrollers was one of those people, well, you seem to be one of those people too. You have so much knowledge, but you put it all to waste because your mean to others and you’re too stubborn to change that, and that gets in the way of your sharing your knowledge with others. Without you around, I’m sure 90% of the arguments on EC would not exist. Although, I have to admit, it does provide some entertainment.

Sorry, I made a typo. I meant “Why not try...”, not “Why try...”. Anything else you can do with Hv power supplies? Maybe zap the components you get from old electronics. If you find a component isn’t working right, zap it!

Correct. It runs at app. max. 25 Watts. This is not bad for such a cheap component.
