Two types of lights (one visible, and one Infrared) in a single package. I was inspired to put this together when I saw a breakdown of a Military pilot's S.E.R.E. kit. In it were two separate flashlights one visible and one infrared for signaling.
I felt would be better to put them both into a single package rather than two separate lights. So I combined the two. I also gave them the ability to strobe or be on continuously via switches. Speed of the strobe is determined by the potentiometer at the top side of the schematic.
So the controls are two single pole double throw switches, and a knob for the potentiometer to determine strobe speed. That's it.
I hope this will inspire others to make improvements of their own on this circuit and share with others.
